My Bachelorette Weekend

I know I have been very quiet lately, but it’s all for a good reason. With wedding planning, I’ve had so many fun things coming up, I’ve just wanted to take the time and enjoy them all. A few weekends ago, I had my bachelorette weekend and it was amazing!

My best friend, and maid of honour, Karleigh, had picked the most amazing house to rent for the weekend in Naramata (located in the Okanagan). The house was surrounded by beautiful trees and had a hot tub with a view of the lake. The house itself had 6 bedrooms, two bathrooms and a pull-out couch so there was a tonne of room for the 11 of us!

As soon as we got there, I was given a drink and told to stay outside while they decorated. Karleigh and my friends did such a great job organizing and picking everything – it looked amazing. We were all arriving at different times, so we decided to have a night in with appetizers, drinks and the hot tub. It really was the perfect evening!

I woke up on Saturday a little worse for wear, but breakfast and coffee were well underway. We had eggs benedict, fruit, yogurt and of course mimosas. Our plan for the day was to have a lazy morning and then head out wine tasting.

We started at Red Rooster winery, moved on to Little Engine, then made our way to Ruby Blues before ending with lunch at Hillside Winery. When we decided to end the wine tasting, we went back to the hot tub before getting ready to go out to the pub.

We ended up at the Naramata Pub, which was….quiet.. to say the least. We still had so much fun ordering a bunch of food, playing pool and taking tequila shots. When we were done, we took the party back to the house were we lit sparklers, played beer pong and of course, ended the night in the hot tub.

I had the most amazing weekend surrounded by my closest friends. I felt so much love and it was the perfect send off to my soon to be married life!
