As we all know, my love for England is a bit more of an obsession. When I found out that there was an English Teahouse hidden away in Chilliwack (of all places) I made sure Chris and I went to check it out. We also asked my dad to come along and make a day of it!
Nestled down a little street in Chilliwack is Dickens British Museum. Here you will find anything and everything! Dickens is over 10,000 square feet with so much to see. You can visit the sweet shop, grocery store, bakery, tea room and of course, museum.
Before we walked around we went for lunch in the tea room. I ordered myself an English breakfast tea, and Chris and I shared the Taste of Britain High Tea. It included a selection of finger sandwiches, pastries and a scone. The food was so tasty and the serving was just enough for two of us.
When we were finished, we walked around the British Museum which had a little bit of everything including tea displays, British Royal Family displays, a ‘war room’ and so much more.
If you’re ever looking to immerse yourself in some British culture here in B.C., I highly recommend making the trip out.
