Pan Pacific Vancouver

For Valentine’s Day, Chris and I try to stay away from gifts… for the most part. Chocolates, treats and flowers are always a must, but this year we decided to spend so quality time together. We booked ourselves into the Pan Pacific in Vancouver for a night to enjoy the city and a fancy hotel room.

Check-in is usually at 4pm, but we had arrived at 2pm. We went straight to the check-in desk and we were told our room was ready. We were so happy that we would be able to spend a bit more time in the room.
We went up to the 16 floor where we found our room overlooking the water and coal harbour. The view was breathtaking. You could watch the seaplanes land and take off, look at the snow on the mountains and just enjoy Vancouver.
Our room had a massive, comfy king-sized bed with more pillows than you could ask for. The fridge was stocked, the robes were fluffy and Spa Utopia products were in the bathroom. You really couldn’t ask for anything more.
The rate per night was more than we would usually spend, but I didn’t regret it. The room was amazing. The view was worth the money alone. The Pan Pacific also offers so many great amenities. There are 3 restaurants and bars, one of which we went and had drinks in. There is an outdoor heated saltwater pool and hot tub, as well as steam rooms. Lastly, there is a Spa Utopia in the hotel so all your relaxation needs are taken care of.
If you’re looking to splurge on a high-end, romantic weekend, I would highly recommend the Pan Pacific. Not only do they have a location in Vancouver and Whistler, but they are global. If I were you, I would find the closest one to you and have yourself a little staycation.
