This year I was able to attend the second annual Fleur Luxury Wedding show. I went with 4 of my colleagues for a girls day out. The event is held in Parq Vancouver, which also houses many great restaurants. To take advantage of that, we started our morning with brunch at Honey Salt.

Right after brunch, we made our way upstairs where we registered and received totes for all of our goodies and passports. The passports listed all the vendors and once you visited them you received a stamp. If you managed to get 80% of your passport full, you were given a gift before you left.

We all grabbed champagne before getting headshots done by The Near and Dear. The photos turned out amazing. After our quick photo shoot, we decided to walk around some of the vendors, which there was a tonne of! What we were really excited about though, was the panel talk hosted by Erin Cebula and featured Fleur organizer Aly Armstrong, bespoke suit creator Style by Sarai, Koreena Johnson and special guest Jessica Mulroney (Royal Wedding details anyone!?).

The talk started at 1:30 pm, and lasted about an hour. It included all things wedding predictions, fashions, and dos and don’ts. Right after the talk, we went up to have a quick chat and photos with Jessica Mulroney. It was safe to say I was fangirling hard.

We then wanted to take a look at the style lounge hosted in the Penthouse, put on by Style by Sarai. Caroline, Jessica and I bumped into him on the way up, so he grabbed us cocktails and showed us around. It was a pretty amazing experience.
The three of us were starting to get a bit hungry, so we headed downstairs for more champagne and food. The amount of food and the variety was overwhelming. It’s safe to say not a single person would have gone hungry at the event.
To wrap up the day, we walked through the table and decor displays. The amount of detail, florals and breathtaking setups were unreal. Every room could have belonged in a magazine. On the way through, we came across a llama (yes a real llama you can rent for weddings) so we HAD to stop and take some photos.

Overall, the day was so much fun and I got so much inspiration for my own wedding. Even though I’ll be married by the time the next event rolls around, I’ll definitely be attending.
