Phoenix, Arizona

Our last night in Arizona was spent in Phoenix. With a two hour drive between Sedona and the airport, we thought it would be best to stay closer to the airport.

We got an amazing deal on the Marriott hotel downtown. We had a king size bed, with a mini living room and a bright marble bathroom. Chris and I were meeting my friend Shelby and her husband Brett later in the evening, but we had some time to kill beforehand. We decided to use the pool before getting ready for dinner.
The pool was smaller, but still very nice. We were the only people in the pool area, so we were able to enjoy it all to ourselves. We stayed for about an hour before going to get ready.

I hadn’t seen my friend Shelby for four years. The last time was when I flew to California to stay with her for my 21st birthday. Chris had met her a few times 6 years ago when we were in England. We were all excited to catch up.

We met Shelby and her husband, Brett, at a restaurant called The Yard. It was a large restaurant with a huge covered, outdoor seating area. Behind where we were seated were ping pong tables, shuffleboards and corn hole.
The four of us ordered drinks, and pork belly nachos for the table. The nachos were unreal. They were loaded with everything and more. For our entrees, I ordered the steak salad and Chris ordered the steak tacos.

It was so nice to sit over dinner and catch up and laugh and talk about when we’ll get together next. Our last night in Arizona was lovely. Every part of the state is unique, with so much to see. Spending our last night in Phoenix was the perfect end to our perfect trip.
