Di Beppe

I love going for dinner with my friend Cassidy and her boyfriend Ryan because they always take us to the best restaurants. This time, it was only Cassidy, Chris and I as Ryan got caught up with work. Cassidy took us to this hidden, little gem in Gastown called Di Beppe.

Honestly, this restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside. Once you walk in, you are immediately in the café bit where you can have a drink while you wait for a table. Usually, this place is packed, but we were lucky and able to get a table right away.

We went through a little doorway that led us into the dining room. The atmosphere was completely different from the café. It is cozy, and the lighting is dim, but it still has a “boujee”, yet casual, feel. The tables are close together so more people can be seated at once.
As we had never been before, we let Cassidy do the honours and order for us. We ordered a meter long pizza (yes – a meter long) as well as two pasta dishes to share. I loved this family style set up.
The food didn’t take long to arrive, and oh my, it was delicious. You could tell that everything was made with fresh ingredients and that the chefs take a lot of pride in what they are making. It’s safe to say that we will be going back soon!
