There are so many amazing things to do in London. Every year we go, we do something different, or see something we hadn’t seen before. Here is my latest guide for 36 hours in London. Noticeably missing from this list are riding the London Eye and visiting Big Ben (which is currently under restoration for the next few years).
Oxford Circus at Night
The lights at night against the architecture are amazing. Walking around looking in all the shop windows is one of my favourite things to do in London.
Camden Market
Camden Market is the best place for vintage finds, eclectic shops, amazing food and street art.
British Museum
The best way (and cheapest) to escape the British rain, is the British Museum. Based on donation, you can find all the world’s ancient treasures inside.
St James’ Park
The best way to walk to Buckingham Palace, is through St James’ Park. You can look at all the birds, ducks, and of course the Queen’s Swans. It is a beautiful walk through the park.
Buckingham Palace
One of the most touristy spots in London is Buckingham Palace. It is pretty amazing to see that part of history. You can watch the guards out the front and admire the building. Be aware though, there are a lot of people here.
A Night Walk Along the Thames
The best way to see the city at night is a walk along the Thames. It is quiet and romantic. You can see all the lights for miles.
Have you been to London? What are your favourite things to do in the city?
