During Dine Out Vancouver, we also went to try The Top of Vancouver Restaurant. This restaurant revolves over the city, above the Harbour Center, giving you a 360-degree view in an hour. The restaurant offers seating by the window, in the revolving area, as well as stationary seats.
Chris and I made late reservations so that we could see the city lit up at night. Luckily, we were seated by the window. The views were breathtaking.
We ordered wine and looked over the Dine Out menu. This restaurant had more than two options per course. For a starter I ordered Mussels and Chris ordered the Mushroom Soup. The mussels came in a Pinot Gris cream. It was all very tasty, but I would have liked a piece of bread to go with it, so you could really enjoy all of the cream.
For dinner, I ordered the Duck while Chris ordered the steak. My entree came with risotto and vegetables. All the flavours melded so well together. The steak came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Each meal was mouthwatering.
To finish the three courses, I ordered a pastry with ricotta, cinnamon and citrus zest. I have never had such a unique and tasty dessert. Chris ordered the Lemon Tart. It was smooth and full of flavour.
Having dinner at the Top of Vancouver was incredible. It was great to be able to do it during the Dine Out Festival, as it capped the price. I can see it getting very expensive for a date night, but so worth it.
