Abbotsford Tulip Festival

When I think of Spring, I think of colourful flowers everywhere. I had heard of the Abbotsford Tulip Festival before, but I had never made the trek to check it out.
This year, there had been more buzz about the festival because of the late blooms. It seemed that everyone was going to check it out. This obviously meant that Chris and I had to go as well.
I decided to wear my Primark long tan coat, with my Primark blue and white off the shoulder top, matched with my black high-waisted Topshop jeans. To top it off, I wore my black Primark booties.
We decided to go on a sunny Sunday. We booked our weekend tickets online and we were ready to go. However, it seemed that everyone else had the same plan. The drive to Abbotsford took twice as long as it usually does because of the traffic.
When we finally arrived, it was packed. We walked through the entrance to a handful of food trucks. We decided to skip on the food and went to straight to the tulips.
The fields were muddy, but we were prepared. Boots are definitely a necessity here. We walked among the tulips for about an hour, taking lots of photos along the way.
On the way out, we bought some pre-cut tulips and headed home. It was great to go and perfect for the Instagram photos!
The festival runs until May 14, so make sure you check it out before it’s gone.
