Days off are great when the rain lets up and I have a chance to frolic in the sun. Chris and I usually get one weekend day off together, so we try to make the most of it. We started our Saturday sleeping in, and then slowly got ready to go out for breakfast.
I decided to go for a cute, casual look. I put on my new camo pants from The Rio Boutique, with my loose, black, racerback tank, also from The Rio Boutique. I added a beige, loosely knit cardigan, from Forever 21, to play off the beige in my brown ankle booties from Primark.
After filling our faces with pancakes, eggs, sausages and bacon, we walked around the shops near by. We digested for a bit before heading out to Maple Ridge for a nice long walk. We ended up walking over 6kms (4.1 miles), enjoying the sunshine and deep conversations.
Since we were in the neighborhood, we went for a quick visit at my Mom’s house (we ended up wearing the same pants) before we went out for Pho.
We went to a little hole in the wall Pho place in Pitt Meadows. Chris and I were enjoying spending time with each other, without having a T.V. in front of us, so much, that we decided to stay out. Next stop was Menchies for some frozen yogurt, before shopping some more.
Eventually we made our way home. It was nice to not have set plans for a change and just see where the day would take us. Sometimes, the best times are spent doing nothing really at all.
