Becki Boldt has become a one-woman enterprise over the past year, while juggling motherhood (she has 3 children), being a wife and working on her BA in business. Boldt named her business, The Rio Boutique, after her third child, Rio.
Before opening her own business, Boldt was a rep for a legging company, selling leggings to make a few extra dollars. After a few months she realized that this wasn’t for her and went out on her own venture.
The boutique is run out of her home, in Abbotsford, B.C., but is also largely online. Future plans for Boldt include moving the business to mainly online only. While she is only shipping across Canada and the U.S. right now, there is potential for more expansion to places such as the U.K.
Boldt’s clothing caters towards women who want to be comfortable, yet stylish. With many different types of styles, there is something for everyone to be found among the clothing racks.
The clothing for the boutique from different places around the United States. The quality is the main thing she looks for, as well as input from her friends. The pieces she carries aren’t items you can find in a mall. These are unique, conversation-worthy pieces.
Walking into the boutique you feel like you’re walking into your best friend’s house. Boldt is so warm and down to earth, shopping here feels so comfortable. In a room filled with scented candles, racks of clothing, and decor straight from a Pinterest page, shopping is a breeze.
My shopping experience was so much fun. I felt like I was gossiping with one of my girl friends, while trying on clothes with the resident kitten purring in the corner. If you aren’t a fan of shopping online, shopping here is a great alternative!
