Chris’ birthday week lasted exactly that, a week. He was spoiled and had something going on to celebrate each night. On the last night of celebrations, the two of us went to our favourite sushi restaurant in Coquitlam, Kaya Japanese Restaurant.
I opted for a casual cute outfit. I paired my turtleneck crop top from New Look, with my highwaisted black trousers from River Island. I then added my black suede Oxford shoes from Aldo. Lastly, I added a long delicate necklace from American Eagle.
We went in and ordered our usual. To start we had vegetable tempura and ebi sunomono which is a cold rice noodle soup in lemon and vinegar broth topped with shrimp. Next we had a California roll combo, which comes with a California roll, salmon, tuna and shrimp nigiri and miso soup. We also ordered a Philadelphia roll, which has smoked salmon on top with cream cheese, crab meat, avocado and cucumber inside, and and a chopped scallop roll.
The food was fantastic as usual. It was a lovely way to end off Chris’ birthday week.
