Holiday Inspired Outfits

Christmas is a great time to dress up. After a morning of presents and family, I like to pick a few neutral pieces to wear before Christmas dinner.

This year my boyfriend definitely spoiled me. He listened to all the things I wished for all year long and surprised me with them. I decided to wear a few pieces that he got for me.

First I put on my H&M thin black sweater, with my leather like leggings from Dynamite. I then added my new Aritzia double grey blanket scarf. On a crisp Christmas day like we had in B.C., I topped my outfit off with my new light grey pea coat from H&M (similar here). To make the outfit a little bit dressier, I put on my cut out black booties from New Look (similar here).

With an outfit lacking colour, I decided to accessorize. I swapped out my over-sized Kate Spade bag for my new Marc by Marc Jacobs bag. I added my new brown ‘around the world’ watch from Urban Outfitters and my Pandora bracelet as a finishing touch. This outfit was great for running around and spending quality time with the family.

For Christmas dinner I wanted to dress up a little bit more. I wanted to sparkle without putting in too much effort. With little siblings, I end up running around all night, so I need something I can move in. I put on my gold, sparkling, long-sleeved dress from Topshop, with a long grey cardigan from Primark. Since the dress is so sparkly, you can’t really add too much bold jewelry. I decided to go simple with a black and gold bib necklace from Primark. Lastly, since it was chilly, I put on thick black tights and knee high boots.

I had a wonderful time spending Christmas with my family, and I hope you did too. I wish everyone the best holidays and a happy New Year.
