Vancouver is not known for its amazing fashion sense. However, fashion events can be found everywhere in the city.
Tonight I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the PARTYSKIRTS and Leah Alexandra pop-up shop hosted at The Cross Decor & Design in Yaletown. This was also the launch for the collaboration pink champagne PARTYSKIRT by SKOT apparel and The Cross. For the event, I decided to wear a black crop top from New Look, a bright blue skirt from Forever 21 and my favourite, most comfortable heels from New Look.
The venue was adorable. It was a perfect mix between classic and vintage. If I had all the money in the world, I would have bought everything for my house.
When my friend, and fellow journalist, Hannah and I walked in, we were greeted by Mariel and Lauren Armstrong, the sisters behind PARTYSKIRTS by SKOT Apparel. The Armstrong sisters are as sweet, girly and classy as their skirts. They were a pleasure to meet. After a quick interview, Hannah and I grabbed some pink champagne and sugar cookies made by Sweet Bake Shop.
Hannah and I walked around the store lusting after the books, decor, furniture and skirts. That was all before we found the jewelry. Leah Alexandra jewelry was also featured at the pop-up shop. The handmade pieces with hand selected gemstones were gorgeous. I couldn’t get enough of them. Leah Alexandra herself gave off a cool, relaxed vibe, much as her jewelry did. Taking inspiration from the beach, these pieces are a must have.
As we were walking around the shop, I bumped into local fashion blogger, and one of my style inspirations, Cara Mcleay. Cara, who I’ve interviewed previously, was looking effortless chic with her hot pink Kate Spade bag, neon green PARTYSKIRT and Leah Alexandra jewelry.
Before leaving, we decided we needed to try on the newly launched pink champagne skirt. We immediately fell in love. Any PARTYSKIRT makes you feel amazing, however the pink champagne PARTYSKIRT made you feel like royalty. I have never felt so girly, classy and fun in a piece of clothing. If you’ve never had a PARTYSKIRT before, I recommend buying one. It is a purchase you will not regret.

That pink skirt is so cute! Looking gorgeous girl. Also loving the heels, pretty sure I’ve got the same haha! That event sounds awesome though. Hope you had fun.
